Stewardship

Please give me my clothes back.

Take care of the things you have or you or going to lose them.  This was a punishment that was inflicted when I was a child.  If you left things laying around, then you were deemed irresponsible and the the toy or privilege was taken away.  I learned really early in life to take care of what I have.

'Use it up, wear it out. Make it do, or do without.'

  1. A good lesson regardless of the discomfort at the time. I've been in houses stuffed to the rafters with treasures, none of them cared for. One of the many things I admire about Rob is his consistent habit of caring for what he has.

    1. The more true now than ever - 'take care of what you got if you want anything in life. I am amazed at homes when they have so much stuff and the place is filthy and unkempt, then there are the homes that are very simple and very clean.

  2. I had a step-dad who would nail shoes and clothes to the floor that weren't picked up, and who would put the garbage bag in the bed of the person who forgot to take it out.

  3. I learnt from my granny the importance of taking care of things. One of my resolutions to buy fewer clothes but better quality and make them last.

Be Well

My thoughts today are with a friend that is undergoing a major surgery, one that impacts her life. Sending healing energy and loving though...
